Driving while parenting, Episode V

Mommyo, irritably, after being forced to yield inappropriately to a driver who clearly doesn’t understand the concept of right of way: “Really? You’re going to turn into the street now? Awesome decision, dude.”

The Six-Year-Old, suspiciously: “Are you being sarcastic?”

About Shala Howell

I write about wildly curious kids, rabbits who hunt dragons, and 1880s Boston. When I’m not scratching my head over pesky characters who refuse to do things how I want them done or dreaming of my next book (which will of course be much easier to write than the current one), I blog about life with a very curious Ten-Year-Old at Caterpickles.com, muse about books and the writing life at BostonWriters.blog, or tweet about books, writing, science, & things that make me smile at @shalahowell.

Here in Las Vegas we have some of the worse drivers. I NEVER take it personally yet others in the family always seem to. Baby picks that up. He wonders why I don’t. I tell him there’s absolutely NOTHING you can do about it anyway, so why get all worked up about it? Case closed.
