Battening down the hatches and other news of the week
Short post today, as The Five-Year-Old and I have a lot of work to do before Hurricane Sandy the Frankenstorm comes a-calling next week.
When we haven’t been madly refreshing Weather.com to get the latest on the FrankenStorm Track, we’ve been keeping an eye on:
- The increased activity at Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano
- A diamond as big as the Earth
- A puppy & kitten who think they are brother and sister (we hope you find a good home together soon, guys)
- And a prehistoric flamingo’s nest found in Spain
And while The Five-Year-Old has been distracted by the new Angry Birds game Bad Piggies, I’ve been getting the inside scoop on how to eat a Triceratops. (Warning: You may want to preview this story before sharing it with your own kids.)
Stay safe out there, y’all.
