Wordless Wednesday: Poppies!

I had stopped doing Wordless Wednesdays back in January, but I decided to resume them during the pandemic. I don’t know about you, but looking at pretty pictures gives me a moment of peace, and I could sure use a moment of peace at least once a week.

Photo shows a spray of orange poppies along the bottom of an old wooden picket fence.

I hope you and yours are still doing as well as can be expected.

Those California poppies. They have huge fields of them around Palmdale, my original hometown. In Spain they have red poppies. We used to have lots of them growing in the fields around our various houses over there.

Poppies are glorious, aren’t they? I never really saw any until we moved out here. Now I understand the fascination. They are specks of sunlight sprinkled on the ground.

MSN had a feature on the poppies in the Antelope Valley could be seen from Space. I posted it on my Facebook page this morning. It’s pretty awesome seeing all that orange.
