The Five-Year-Old, sitting down to type up some business cards at her new-to-her electric typewriter: “Mommyo, are computers an older type of species than you?”
Mommyo: “No.”
The Five-Year-Old, flabbergasted: “You’re older than computers?”

I was a reluctant adopter of digital photography. My children were 3 and 5 and I was still using my much beloved Nikon 8008 film camera. I knew it couldn’t last, though, the day I took the girls’ photos and the 3 year old rushed over to me and pulled on the camera, turning it around and saying, “Lemme see! Lemme see! I want to see the picture.” Traitors, all! 🙂
