Fostering curiosity in kids (and their parents) since 2011

“Daddyo, what did our ancestors grow out of?”

Vintage Ad #859: Leisure Suit Sale at Sayvette

Vintage ad for leisure suits from Sayvette.

Overheard when passing by The Five-Year-Old’s bedroom while storytime was in progress.

The Five-Year-Old: “Daddyo, what did our ancestors grow out of?”

Father: “Oh, lots of things.” (slight pause, then…) “Leisure suits.”

(Image from jbcurio, whose Flickr photostream is a virtual goldmine of old-timey ads, and rather fun reading, if you like that sort of thing.)
