Daddyo: “No. Blood is made up of cells. Cells aren’t made up of blood.”
The Four-Year-Old: “What are cells made up of?”
Daddyo: “Cytoplasm and organelles.”
The Four-Year-Old: “What are organelles made up of?”
Daddyo: “Proteins and other stuff.”
The Four-Year-Old: “Like what other stuff?”
Daddyo: “Some of them have DNA in them.”
The Four-Year-Old: “What’s DNA?”
Daddyo: “DNA is like the programming for the body.”
The Four-Year-Old, not missing a beat: “Do sharks eat penguins?”
