In which my daughter gives some much needed encouragement
Totally worth it.
Last weekend, while we were picking raspberries at Monadnock Berries in New Hampshire, one of the bushes committed a vicious assault upon my husband, leaving him with a bloody gash on the top of his foot. My daughter, seeing this, immediately ran to his aid.
Stopping well short of the scene of the crime, she yelled to her father, who had already taken off his sandal to survey the damage: “Don’t worry, Daddyo. You are an ICU doctor. You can handle this!”
