Wordless Wednesday: Spring flowers

Personally, I would like this spring to feature a bit more rain, but considering what’s going on in the rest of the country, I’m going to take a moment to appreciate how nice the flowers are here in Northern California.

Not quite spring yet but close. We’re being fooled by the warm weather.

Feels like spring here. I’m surprised by how conflicted I am about it. Not just because thanks to this pandemic we have always lived in March, but also because we have had a relatively dry winter. I adore rain both for its fire-dampening powers and for the way it lubricates my writing. It’s ok if I’m inside typing away if it’s raining. So much harder to focus when it’s sunny with a chance of wildfire.
