The Eight-Year-Old just finished reading The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. She loved it.
Daddyo, sleepily, on a recent Friday night: “Shall we have Family Togetherness A-Team time? Or should Reading break out?”
The Eight-Year-Old, excitedly: “Let’s have Family Togetherness Reading of Different Books Time!”
While The Eight-Year-Old scrambles to find her latest book, Mommyo pulls out her iPhone surreptitiously.
The Eight-Year-Old, darkly: “They have to be actual books to qualify, Mommyo.”
