The Six-Year-Old discovers Jane Austen

Mommyo, browsing around the Internet in pursuit of a suitable distraction from NaNoWriMo: “Did you know that Jane Austen has a plaque at Westminster Abbey in the Poet’s Corner next to Shakespeare?”

The Six-Year-Old, astounded: “Shakespeare? She’s as great as Shakespeare?”

Awesome! JASNA will be glad to have her. Welcome, Six-Year-Old! Have you read The Beautifull Cassandra, by Jane Austen and illustrated by Juliet McMaster? It’s very cute, and also hilarious. I made a list of Jane Austen books for kids a couple of weeks ago: http://sarahemsley.com/jane-austen-for-kids/. Run mad as often as you chuse, Six-Year-Old, but do not faint!
